Award-winning architect Clive Wilkinson practices what I can only describe as the “new urbanism” of interior space, where the interaction of people/employees/guests is welcomed and highly valued.
Witness his newest project – his own house – featured in this New York Times article by Barbara Graustark to see that the sociability factor so integral to his corporate projects like the new Googleplex (180,000 sq. ft. of office space) works equally well in his own domain.
The generous indoor/outdoor living space and low cost are also meant to appeal to young families as an alternative to suburbia, hopefully keeping fun friends close by. He designed a family-friendly house even though he is single – gotta love his optimism!
