Richard, My step son Nate sent your article and he is currently reading your book. As a native Buffalonian, I returned after 4 years at Harvard and briefly started working for a local architectural firm in Allentown, but alas, the economy was in the dumps and I ended up working for two Mayors of Buffalo, Stan Makowski and then Jimmy Griffin. I wrote an article for the old Buffalo Courier express called Art in Architecture for the Sunday Magazine. I am so pleased to see that you have recognized the historical stature of Buffalo, and I share with you the hope that Our Queen City will rise again when new ideas on how to re-construct the infrastructure and housing stock come along.

Sincerely, Dick Coley
