Yes, Richard, your book is deservedly on the list.
But as the list is an “of all time” list, perhaps they should drop one of Drucker’s books (the only person I noticed twice) and replace it with “Self Help” by Samuel Smiles.
“The very greatest things – great thoughts, discoveries, inventions – have usually been nurtured in hardship, often pondered over in sorrow, and at length established with difficulty.”

    Good job, Richard.

  3. Michael Wells Says:

And I’m surprised Drucker’s only there twice, I’d add his “Innovation & Entrepreneurship”. My other choices would be “Ogilvy on Advertising”, “Honest Business” by Phillips & Raspberry, “The Google Story” by Vise, and “A Piece of the Action” by Nocera. I’d even throw in Jacobs “Death & Life of Great American Cities”, which not only changed urban planning but showed how cities work in supporting local businesses.

And yes, congratulations Richard! Rise is deservedly in the top business books as well as in economics, sociology, urban studies.
