Emma and I were broken from the same mold I think, Michael, as least as far as revolutions go. The thing about it is that if Trudeau himself was there, I can't help but think that he would have showed at the party. He liked to dance right?

And yeah, TED has been encouraging folks to share their own "Ideas worth spreading". Could be a nice catalyst event if you get it off right!

Canada is super interesting precisely because of how it relates to the frenetic energy down south. We get the opportunity to observe, and learn from all the slip ups and consider the benefits but with so much less of the fall outs. All things considered, it's a pretty sweet deal. I think I wrote a bit about that during election time here.

Now I'm off to figure out what a sigmoid curve is.....

No seriously, thanks so much Mike. Enjoy the paper!

Wow. Probably more than I can deal with here.

When Emma Goldman said "If I can't dance I don't want to be part of your revolution" she was onto something. The Trudeau people could probably get good Urban Commons experience in a club that they miss in seminars. Ah well. We're all limited somehow.

And I didn't know about TEDx. Humm, maybe we should be thinking of something in Portland.

But most of all, it reinforces my fascination in Canada's direction and growth. Until I saw The Score in 2001 I had sort of thought all Canadians were Nordic and dull (after all, I'd been to Lake Louise and Victoria so I knew first hand). Then Vancouver opened up to Asian Immigrants, Richard moved to Toronto and you leapfrogged us in things like gay marriage. Now it turns out you're holding urban planning and art conferences practically round the clock.

Thank you for recommending Sellens' paper, Kwende. You rank right up with the "Trudeau Scholars" and will soon surpass them. They are stuck at the top of their sigmoid curves, but your curve has a long way to go!
