Mr. Florida, I had another question about the Geography of work and how we get there. I am a college educated young professional with a college education young professional wife. We live in a small city in rural Iowa with a population of about 28,000 people, and we are the regional center. In my work and my travels around the region, I have come to realize that part of what is killing small towns in America is not automatically the lack of jobs, per say (about 50% of companies in our town are hiring right now), but the ability to find jobs for BOTH spouses, that fits what they are trained for and pays enough for what they do.

I would love to see an analysis of how the rise of the duel income household/degree holding working woman relates to the move from small towns and rural areas to concentrated metros.
