Request for Charitable Giving

Thank you for your interest in Richard Florida and the Creative Class Group. We applaud your efforts toward your cause. We receive thousands of donation requests annually and will review all written requests submitted to us via email on behalf of a federally-licensed 501 (c) (3) non-profit charitable organization on the organization’s official letterhead which must include the nature of the donation (i.e. cash sponsorship, discounted speech, donated speech, autographed books, dvds, cds), date of the charitable event, location of event, contact name and phone number, and an explanation of how the donation will be used, along with a letter from the IRS documenting the organization’s non-profit status.

We do not accept solicitations via phone or mail. Incomplete submissions will not be considered. Due to a full schedule packed with teaching, research, academic obligations, speaking, writing, media and travel, under no circumstances do we consider requests for free consulting, meetings, or advisory services with Richard Florida.

Unfortunately, due to the enormous number of requests we receive, we cannot respond to each individual request. If you do not hear back from us within four weeks of submitting your request, it is likely that your request did not meet the minimum qualifications.

Donation requests for autographed books, cds, and dvds may be used for charitable fundraising purposes; requests for incentive or reward programs will not be considered.

If you would like to acknowledge our donation in a press release or other promotional materials, we would greatly appreciate it. We will provide you with guidelines for the proper use of our logo and trademarks when we send you confirmation of our donation to your organization.

If your request is granted, we will post your logo and link to your website on our ‘Support’ page of www.creativeclass.com for an unlimited period of time. If a cash donation is made, we require a receipt for tax purposes.
